Who We Are

At New Hope Christian Church, we pursue God while being the church wherever we do life. Our welcoming church family encourages all members of the family to engage in learning and pursing relationship with Jesus. We have active ministries for families, men, women, and children of all ages.

Our Beliefs

At New Hope Christian Church, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and centered on the Good News (the Gospel) of Jesus Christ. The answers below summarize what we believe and provide key passages for further study.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is true, trustworthy, and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

We believe there is one eternal God who created and sustains all things. He exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons, one God, equal in deity, power, and glory.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died in our place for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is the only Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts people of sin, gives new life, lives within every believer, leads and helps us, produces spiritual fruit, and gives gifts that equip Christians for godly living and service.

Every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses God-given dignity and worth. Yet all people are affected by sin, have sinned against God, and are spiritually separated from Him. We cannot rescue ourselves and need the salvation God provides through Jesus.

The Gospel is the Good News that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus defeated sin and death and offers forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ—not earned by good works. In response to the Gospel, we repent and turn from our sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and trust Him alone for forgiveness and new life.

Jesus commands those who trust in Him to be baptized. We practice baptism by immersion as a believer’s identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection and as an expression of belonging to Him.
